The Bears have reached an agreement with Phil Emery today to become the team’s fifth GM in franchise history.
Emery joins the Bears after spending 14 seasons in the NFL including the last three as the Chiefs Director of College Scouting.
This will be Emery’s second stint with the Bears after working as an area scout for the franchise from 1998-2004. During that time the Bears drafted Pro Bowler’s WR Marty Booker (third round of 1999), KR Jerry Azumah (fifth round of 1999), LB Brian Urlacher (first round of 2000), S Mike Brown (second round of 2000), CB Charles Tillman (second round of 2003), LB Lance Briggs (third round of 2003), DT Tommie Harris (first round of 2004) and CB Nathan Vasher (fourth round of 2004).

Broncos Hire Jack Del Rio As DC
The Broncos announced Friday night they had agreed to terms with Jack Del Rio to become the club's new defensive coordinator.
Del Rio was John Fox's first defensive coordinator in Carolina in 2002 before leaving after one year to coach the Jaguars, who fired him in November.
Report: Dennis Allen Deal With Raiders Finalized
The Raiders formally agreed Thursday on a four-year deal to make Broncos defensive coordinator Dennis Allen their new head coach.
New GM Reggie McKenzie had decided Tuesday to hire Allen to replace the fired Hue Jackson as head coach. The two sides finalized the details Thursday, a person familiar with the process said on condition of anonymity because the team is not publicly discussing the search.

Jeff Fisher will coach the Rams next season, a league source tells ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Fisher also was a strong candidate to fill the Dolphins' opening. At one point Wednesday night, one source said it was "80-20" that Fisher would choose Miami over St. Louis as his next job.
However, the Dolphins and Fisher could not agree on the structure of the organization, league sources said.
